The early signs of quicker trip to the Bay Islands
It took only 35 minutes from the time the six vehicle loaded at the Dalpura Street ramp at the Northern end of Macleay Island and when they started driving to their destinations from Victoria Point early this morning.
It was a good trip but the short sharp chop whipped up by the hot north easterly wind was a worry for getting off the Dalpura Ramp. But from there it was plain sailing past Coochiemuldo Island.
As they approached the Victoria Point Ramp, each vehicle was decked with an Australian cars raised an Australian flag before being driven off horns blasting. A new way to the mainland taking less time and for less money had been pioneered.More.......
